I like my hair but it made me cry

Today my hair made me cry

I like how it looks, it’s been cut short & I wanted it naturally dark again

But I have these strands

that are still bleached at the ends

I haven’t lightened it often

and I realized how much I’ll miss them

because they’re visible remnants

of special times I had this year.

They were there.

And I’ve been crying a lot knowing that my witnesses are almost gone
